Anyways, day two started off late. I woke up at 10 AM and lay in bed until 11 AM because the window washers was right outside our bathroom window for 1 hour.
Soon after L made me wide garlic, alfredo fettucine and herself soy sauce, sesame oil, jalapeno, egg, and green onion rice which she ate with seaweed.
Today we really didn't have a set plan. We spent about 3 hours figuring out how we were going to get from Seattle to Tacoma to Portland. (Un)luckily, we won't be stopping by Tacoma. We weren't welcomed. So we decided to walk to the Amtrak station and buy our tickets for P-Town.
We bought tickets for 9:45 AM so we will be arriving in P-Town much earlier than planned.
After we walked over to Qwest and Safeco stadium to take a picture of the amazing rock sculpture.
See this awesome rock??
well here's a sculpture of it
right next to each other. oh Seattle, you're heelarious!

Then we slowly trekked to Starbucks in Lincoln Square to rest and get some energy. And while enjoying our coffee we noticed that the Seattle cops are better looking, hipper, healthier than their LA counterparts. And even more surprising, they did not lock up their bikes. Culture shock.
yes we're lame. we find the most trivial things interesting. the better looking, hipper, healthier Seattle cops' bikes that are not locked up
We then decided to hit up the U-District (U Dub neighborhood) to check out the college town. It felt very similar to Berkeley. A lot of ethnic food and herbal shops.
And I almost caused a blind woman to commit suicide. I didn't think it was funny but apparently L thought it was a riot. I'll let her share the story. And apparently I'm rude as F bc I ignore strangers on the street. Suriii.. So surri.
Afterwards we headed to Westlake for some more soap shopping. I bought some shampoo so I don't inconvenience our next host. We then took the monorail home.
Today we heavily relied on PT and I'm realizing I don't have the confidence to ride busses.
Our Seattle trip is winding up fast. I can say I'm ready for what Portland has to offer.
Ciao!
I'm so excited to meet up tonight! Oh and I never say hi to strangers, in fact I make it a point to ignore people when I'm walking arround and I always hope they will extend me the same courtesy. Um, ps I might not get the Mcgregor book. I don't want to panic yet but we might need a back up read...

ReplyDeleteHey Lil J. If you took the Greyhound and came out with your head attached to your neck/spine, consider yourself lucky.
