The Beginning

C and I took off during the night after having dinner with a family friend. We tried to make it to a Borders to use our 40% off coupons before they expired only to find ourselves very lost in the bay area. Eventually we were on our road up to Oregon and as we moved further north, the trees became more plentiful, the lights began to disappear and the roads started to curve. It was scary.

That night we pulled over in Weeds and checked into a Motel 6. Neither one of us had the energy to look at the thermostat and spent the rest of our night shivering in separate queen beds.

Then, up and onwards to the local McDonalds from which we resumed our trek up to Oregon. Our first stop was the Enchanted Forest in Turner, Oregon.
