Day #9: Sick As Babies

Oh boy. I was near death on day #9. I had so much phlegm in my throat & nose. Not only that, I had a horrible headache, crazy bodyaches, and a fever. And misery sure loves company, because lil J was dying too.

Throughout the day she would complain that she's dying and that we should go see the doctor because we must have swine flu. I was a tad bit convinced we had swine flu. And hell, I'll admit that I wanted to say I SURVIVED SWINE FLU OF '09. But A made sure we understood that what we had was just a really bad cold virus and not the swine flu. That really upset lil J because I think lil J is a crazy hypochondriac and she likes to "collect" diseases.

Well, the original plan was to go back to the Mission District in SF to buy some books at Community Thrift Store that L had emailed me once she got back home. And I also wanted to stop by Thrift Town because I read good reviews. Then couple days before there was talks of eating Beijing (Shanghai? some Chinese city) duck.

But lil J and I honestly in so much pain (popping sudafed like its cotton candy salt water taffy), that we basically rotted away in the apartment.

I believe we slept most of the day.

But somewhere in between we made time to eat lunch. While positioning ourselves in front of the computer to watch some horrible reality show that I picked, the door opens and A's back. It was only 3 PM. A was now sick. He said he felt really dizzy and sick.

MISSERRRRY LOOVVEES COMPANNNY!

So we had another member in our sick gang. I felt bad. But lil J had warned him to stay away from her, but he didn't. So basically the three of us festered away in the apartment. Windows closed, wrapped in blankets, tears rolling down our face...

That was our Tuesday.
